Russia, under war criminal Putin, massed troops near the Ukranian Border while the west pretended Putin was not going to attack Ukraine. Putin’s plan was apparently to quickly subdue Ukraine and then pick smaller European Nations to invade next. He assumed since the West did nothing to prevent him from invading Ukraine, the same thing would happen if he invaded smaller European Nations. Then, on to a full-scale invasion of Europe while Western Political Leaders snoozed.
Then something happened Putin was unprepared for. Ukraine Leader Zelensky rallied his nation to resist the criminal invaders. The Ukrainians suddenly became very creative and began manufacturing inexpensive drones to wreak havoc on Russia. In addition to bravely facing a nation that had more weapons, troops and money to fight a war Zelensky also had to face off with Donald Trump who was trying to pressure Zelensky into surrendering to the Russians. Trump also cut off arms support to Ukraine which I consider pressure on Zelensky to surrender to Russia. Zelensky even faced hostility from many in the West claiming he started the war by requesting membership in Nato for protection against the Big Bully Russia.
I say Zelensky should receive the Peace Award for preventing a wider war by stopping Putin from conquering all of Ukraine and then proceeding into Europe. He should be awarded medals for courage in facing down Russia and Donald Trump. Ukraine seems to have changed the way war will be conducted in the future. We also own a debt of gratitude to Zelensky for revealing how weak Russian is militarily. Russia is struggling to find enough weapons to fight against a much smaller nation.
What would have happened if Russia had attacked the United States? The outcome would have been humiliating for Russia. The only thing that would change that is incompetent and traitorous politicians in our government. For some the policy has been since World War II that the United States never win another war. For others it is being concerned about enemy civilians more than our own people. We see this being played out in Ukraine currently with our politicians insisting that any weapons supplied by the United States to Ukraine not be used in arears where it might impact civilians. Meanwhile Russia is targeting civilians. Russian Civilians need to be impacted more than they are currently by Putin. It might convince they need to rid themselves of Putin.
Recently I read that the US in assisting Ukraine in planning attacks to destroy Russian Manufacturing and Military Installations. Did the courage of Zelensky force Trump to decide who he would support in this war?
